Position Title: Senior Force Development Analyst

Customer: HQDA, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff G-8 (DCS), Force Development Directorate

Location: Washington D.C.

Clearance Required: SECRET clearance

A Senior Analyst is required to support the Headquarters Department of the Army, G-8, Force Development Directorate. The Force Development Directorate (FD) requires an interdisciplinary skill set of budgeting, DOD acquisition processes and procedures (DoDI 5000.2) as well as expertise with materiel and /or force structure requirements development and validation (JCIDS). The mix of these skills will vary at echelons of command. Force Development experience is critical to applying force development skills across the domains of Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Education, Personnel and Facilities (DOTML-PF) in a fiscally constrained environment. Examples of force development experience range from programming materiel and force structure requirements at the highest Army echelons such as HQDA, down to integrating new equipment into units at battalion levels.


The Senior Analyst responsibilities include:

- Perform analysis in support of products presented to senior leadership for decisions or information purposes in support of briefings, working groups, or other decision forums.

- Shall provide programming data analysis for the Program Objective Memorandum build, program reviews, Strategic Planning Assessment Review (SPAR), and senior leader briefs.

- Shall assist with quality control of Director Reviews.

- Shall conduct quality control checks of Portfolio briefings and provide reports of analysis. Analysis shall include recommendation for changes to any and all briefings and presentations formats.

- Shall provide reviews and analysis of Army Requirements Review Board (AR2B) issues and assist with briefing and preparation of senior leaders for AR2B discussions.

- Provide support in analysis and recommendations to DOM Hardware Divisions in support of Strategic Planning Assessment Reviews (SPAR).

- Perform the duties as required by an Analyst.

Educational and Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration, Management, Economics, Math, Science, Engineering, History or English. A Master's degree in one of these areas will be accepted if Bachelor's degree does not meet the criteria. Have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience and expertise in Force Development duties. Experience may be obtained at varying levels of Army organizations but candidates must have experience at most senior levels of the Army such as HQDA, MACOMs, or Army Service Component Commands.
